Admissions Procedure


Open admissions throughout the year. Referral packets containing current I.E.P., recent educational and psychological testing, health and school records, etc. should be mailed to the School Director at 270 Communications Way, Unit 2G, Hyannis, MA 02601.

Approval/Licensing/Accreditation

Approval by the Department of Education as a 502.5 school and as an internship site for both Moderate Special Needs and Administrator of Special Education certification.

Programs & Services

Southeast Alternative School's Cape Cod campus offers students a comprehensive, supportive environment that addresses their educational, clinical, pre-vocational, recreational and behavioral needs. In addition to instruction that is aligned to the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks, individual, group, expressive arts and milieu counseling is provided. The school also employs a school nurse, a technology coordinator and a speech and language development specialist. The school operates from mid-August to the end of June and is tailored to meet the needs of high school students.
